Crystal Kakos Sutherland
Crystal is a multi-jurisdictional lawyer licensed to practice in both Ontario and the state of Michigan. After graduating magna cum laude from the Michigan State University College of Law, she joined a pre-eminent civil litigation and business law firm. During her tenure there, she focused on myriad aspects of civil litigation, including insurance defense for hospitals, nursing home facilities and other institutions, as well as land use disputes, access to easements and other real property matters. Upon obtaining her Ontario license, she has focused on building her solicitor’s practice by serving residential real estate clients, those requiring assistance with wills and estates as well as family law issues.
Crystal lives in Southwest Oakville with her husband and enjoys traveling, spending time with family and is an avid supporter of theatre and the arts.
John David Sutherland
John David (JD) Sutherland graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.A (Hons.) in Political Science and History in 2007. In 2009, JD enrolled in law school earning duel law degrees from the Michigan State University College of Law in 2012 and from the University of Ottawa in 2013. Upon graduating, law school, JD articled at a busy downtown Toronto practice prior to being called to the Ontario Bar in September 2014. JD has been in private practice for over five years and has overseen hundreds of files in the areas of real estate law, wills and estates law and criminal law.
JD lives with his wife in Southwest Oakville and is an active member of the Mississaugua Golf & Country Club and the Halton County Law Association. He enjoys playing golf, traveling and is an avid fan of the Toronto Raptors, Maple Leafs and Blue Jays.
